Magnesium is the lightest of the
structural metals; a quarter the weight of
steel and a third lighter than aluminium.
The melting point of magnesium is 651
degrees Celsius and boiling point 1107
degrees Celsius. It is the 6th most
abundant metal and its applications are
countless. Magnesium is a revolutionary
material in the field of hot foil stamping
because in contrast to its predecessor
(zinc), allows a precision etching up to
1/10 of a millimeter. Another unique
aspect of magnesium is that the effects of
thermal expansion are minimum, allowing
the user to print as many times as needed
without losing measure. The pre-coated
photosensitive magnesium plates our
company uses, are of the highest quality.
Total thickness of magnesium plates:
1mm / 1,63mm / 2,5mm / 7mm.
